Based on Bonneville Bobber
The Triumph Speedmaster is based on the Bonneville Bobber which is already available in the Indian market. The platform and design both have been carried forward from its sibling but with some major changes thrown in. The hardtail rear swing cage gets some tweaks to accommodate a pillion seat which was not available as an optional extra in the Bobber.

Bonneville Speedmaster design
While the sleek fuel tank and classic headlamp remain the same as the Bobber, the Speedmaster gets a wide swept-back handlebar along with forward-set footpegs to provide the rider with a conventional cruiser-style riding posture. The comfortable seating comes along with a lot of advanced features like LED lights, traction control, cruise control and a multifunctional instrument cluster display to increase the level of convenience.

Bonneville Speedmaster engine specs
Powering the Bonneville Speedmaster is the same 1,200cc, liquid-cooled parallel twin engine that powers all the above-litre-class models in the Modern-Classic range. The motor makes 77PS at 6,100rpm and a peak torque of 106Nm at 4,000rpm.
The fuel injected engine, however, is much advanced and comes with a six-speed transmission with torque assist clutch, ride-by-wire technology and dual riding modes (Road and Rain).

The motorcycle gets an extended service interval
The Speedmaster comes with a 2-year/unlimited kilometres warranty and offers an extended service interval of 16,000 kilometres for the ease of maintenance. The company further offers multiple customisation kits and over 130 accessories --at an additional cost -- for the bike so one can give a more personalised touch to the motorcycle.
In India, the Bonneville Speedmaster will compete with the likes of the Harley-Davidson Custom 1200 and the Indian Scout.
