New Delhi: Two-wheeler maker India Yamaha Motor on Tuesday announced plans to integrate Yamaha Motor Electronics India with itself as part of an ongoing restructuring exercise.

The move is aimed at streamlining operations, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, and establishing a more agile organizational framework for sustainable growth, India Yamaha Motor (IYM) said in a statement.

"The integration of YEIN marks an important milestone in building an agile, future-ready organisation aligned with Yamaha Motor's global technology vision. By bringing electrical and electronic component expertise directly into our core development and manufacturing ecosystem, we will accelerate innovation in energy management," Yamaha Motor India Group Chairman Hajime Aota said.

The restructuring is expected to be finalized by the end of the first half of 2027, subject to the necessary regulatory and stakeholder approvals.

Yamaha Motor Electronics India (YEIN) will continue to play an important role within IYM, leveraging its expertise in electrical components to support the company's product development and manufacturing priorities, the company added.

In January this year, Japanese two-wheeler maker Yamaha Motor Co announced a restructuring of its organisation in India bringing its sales, marketing, corporate and administrative functions together with production operations under one entity.
