HMSI posts 8% sales growth in August at 5.79 lakh units

New Delhi: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) on Tuesday reported total sales of 5.79 lakh units in August, registering 8 per cent year-on-year growth.

In August 2025, total sales stood at 5.34 lakh units.

Domestic sales last month were at 5.17 lakh units, logging 8 per cent growth year-on-year, a company statement said.


Exports stood at 61,000 units in August 2026, up 15 per cent compared to 53,000 units exported a year ago.

For the year-to-date period of FY27 (April-August 2026), HMSI recorded total sales of 27.33 lakh units as against 24.25 lakh units in the same period a year ago.

Domestic sales stood at 24.07 lakh units during the five-month period, up 11 per cent year-on-year. Exports were at 3.26 lakh units over 2.49 lakh units a year ago, HMSI said.
