Honda Motorcycle and Scooter announces price cuts : Activa, Dio, Shine to see reduction up to Rs 18,887 after GST rejig

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) announced price cuts across its two-wheeler range, following Goods and Service Tax (GST) rate cuts on motorcycles and scooters up to 350cc from 28% to 18%. The benefits extend up to Rs 18,887 depending on the model. Popular scooters like Activa and Dio, and motorcycles including the Shine, Unicorn, and CB350 series will all see price reductions effective immediately.

Yogesh Mathur, Director, Sales and Marketing, HMSI, said, "We welcome the Indian government’s recent GST reform. This strategic initiative will not only improve personal mobility, but also boost the economic growth. The reduction in GST on two-wheelers and spare parts is a timely and forward-looking step, making vehicles more affordable and strengthening the overall ecosystem."

The company said that the price cuts will be applicable immediately for scooters and motorcycles up to 350cc. However, the company is still evaluating the impact of the new 40% GST slab on certain models.

Starting September 22, 2025, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on small cars, two-wheelers up to 350cc, three-wheelers, buses, trucks, and ambulances will be reduced from 28% to 18%, while bikes with an engine of more than 350cc will be taxed at 40%.
