Features of Honda Africa Twin
HMSI's new adventure tourer was first exhibited at the 2016 Auto Expo and is powered by a 998 cc parallel twin engine that sheds a power of 95.3 PS and 98 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a dual clutch transmission gearbox.
The motorcycle will get features like ABS and traction control as a standard offering. Other key features will include height adjustable seats and the digital instrument cluster.

Only 50 bikes to be sold
The company also confirmed that initially only 50 units of its African Twin is available and can be booked through the 22 Wing World dealers in India. It will be known as Honda CRF 1000L Africa Twin in the local market.

Deliveries from July 2017
Indian arm of Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched its Honda African Twin in India at Rs 12.90 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). The company has started the bookings of its premium motorcycle and will begin deliveries in July 2017.

Honda has confirmed that it has begun the local assembly of the bike that will be available only in victory red colour. Though Africa Twin is available in both Manual and DCT Dual Clutch Transmission) globally, only the DCT variant will be sold in India.
