Hero MotoCorp has rolled out a new top-end variant of the Xtreme 125R in India. Priced at ?1.04 lakh (ex-showroom), the new trim becomes the first motorcycle in its segment to feature both dual-channel ABS and cruise control. The latter feature was earlier seen on the Glamour X, courtesy of Hero’s ride-by-wire throttle system.

Visually, the motorcycle remains unchanged, but Hero has introduced three new dual-tone colour schemes — Red, Silver, and Green — each complemented by contrasting black stripes.

The addition of a ride-by-wire throttle not only enables cruise control but also gives riders the option to switch between Eco, Road, and Power riding modes. Another major upgrade is the inclusion of a 4.2-inch colour LCD instrument cluster. On the performance front, braking has been improved with disc brakes at both ends, paired with a dual-channel ABS system for added safety. The suspension setup continues to include telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock.

Under the hood, the Xtreme 125R retains its 124.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 11.4 bhp and 10.5 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike can sprint from 0–60 km/h in 5.7 seconds.

The Hero Xtreme 125R continues to rival the TVS Raider, Honda CB125 Hornet, and other 125cc premium commuters.
