The company had recorded total vehicle dispatches at 549,604 units in March 2025.
Retail sales during the reporting months also remained robust with 542,436 VAHAN registrations (as per VAHAN data except for Telangana) as on April 1, indicating a growth of around 24 per cent, the company said.
Noting that the demand was led by the 100-125cc segment, the company said the scooter segment saw double-digit growth.
Strong performance continued in March in the ICE scooter segment with robust double-digit growth of 24 per cent, supported by a strengthened product portfolio and scale-up of the Glamour and Xtreme range of Motorcycles, Hero MotoCorp said.
Additionally, the demand sentiment improved in the rural markets, aided by early festive tailwinds, it stated.
Of the total dispatches in March 2026, motorcycle sales were up 5 per cent at 532,383 units from 506,641 vehicles in the same month of the previous year, while scooter sales grew 53.18 per cent at 65,815 units against 42,963 units in the same period last year.
Also, total domestic dispatches for March 2026 were seen at 552,505 units as compared to 510086 units in the same month of last year while exports grew to 45,693 vehicles from 39,518 vehicles in March 2025, as per the company.
For fiscal 2026 (April-March period), total vehicle dispatches stood at 64,68,834 units as compared to 58,99,187 vehicle dispatched to the market in FY 25, it said.
The company also said its dedicated electric vehicle brand VIDA continued its upwards growth 154 per cent surge in dispatches in FY26.
Hero Moto Corp said its global business recorded the highest-ever dispatches with around 16 per cent growth in March 2026 with 45,693 units, compared to 39,518 units during the same period last year.
The segment also recorded an all-time high of around 40 per cent dispatch growth in FY26, with the strong demand for premium portfolio products across motorcycles and scooters driving growth in key international markets.
