BMW Motorrad on Wednesday launched the G310 R and G310 GS models in India, priced at Rs 2.99 lakh and Rs 3.49 lakh, respectively.

Design cues
The BMW G 310 R takes design cues from its elder sibling, the S 1000 R and the G 310 GS is its touring capable version which takes inputs from the company's GS adventure series.

Same engine on both bikes
Bolted on a steel-trellis frame, the entry-level BMW bikes get power from a new 313cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. The liquid-cooled motor churns out 34PS of power and a peak torque of 28Nm. The claimed fuel efficiency of the bikes is around 30kmpl and it has a top speed of 145kmph.
