Bajaj Auto plans to launch three new products by mid-October and introduce two new brands in the coming months as the automaker looks to attract new buyers and encourage existing customers to upgrade, a senior company executive said on Monday.

The company also expressed optimism about demand in the second half of the year, particularly during the upcoming festive season, even as it flagged softer near-term trends in the 125cc motorcycle segment.

Bajaj Auto on Monday launched updated versions of its Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 motorcycles at introductory prices of Rs 92,900 and Rs 1.15 lakh, respectively, ex-showroom Delhi. The motorcycles come with new features and technologies while retaining the core character of the Pulsar brand.

"We will be launching three new products in the next 45-days and also roll out two new brands," Bajaj Auto Managing Director Rakesh Sharma said on the sidelines of the launch.

Sharma said Bajaj Auto had launched 12 models since October last year, adding that the company had seen some "fatigue" in the Pulsar segment as certain models, including the 125cc and 150cc versions, had not received major updates for an extended period.

He said the refreshed Pulsar models were aimed at both attracting first-time buyers and encouraging existing customers to return to the brand.

Bajaj Auto reported a 30 per cent year-on-year increase in total sales to 4,74,677 units in July, from 3,66,000 units a year earlier. Domestic sales rose 20 per cent to 2,20,192 units from 1,83,143 units in July 2025.

Domestic two-wheeler sales increased 19 per cent to 1,65,747 units in July from 1,39,279 units in the year-ago period. However, sales of the Pulsar 125 reportedly declined 38 per cent year-on-year, while the Pulsar 150 recorded a 67 per cent fall.

The broader two-wheeler market remains on a strong growth trajectory, according to Sarang Kanade, head of two-wheeler business at Bajaj Auto.

"The two-wheeler industry is growing at a solid double-digit growth rate right now, which is close to about 12 per cent and within that, the motorcycle segment is growing at about 10 per cent, while the scooter segment is a little higher, but electric vehicles are growing at a very astounding about 80 per cent," Kanade said.

"So, the overall forecast that we have for the current festive season in the second half is very optimistic right now," he said, while noting that "the near-term trends in the 125 cc are not looking as exciting as the rest of the portfolio in the two-wheeler industry".

Kanade, however, said the longer-term outlook for 125cc motorcycles remained positive. The segment accounted for around 25 per cent of the motorcycle market three years ago and now has a share of about 28 per cent, he said.

"So, there is a sharp appreciation that is happening in the 125 cc over a period of time ... I think we are very optimistic with the 125-cc as well in the coming festivities," he added.

Despite recent price increases being passed on to customers, demand remained robust in July and August, Kanade said.

He added that the industry had already moved past much of the rapid cost escalation seen earlier.

"a lot of waves have passed in the past, so I think most of what was coming as a fast escalation has been behind us," he said.

With a wider product pipeline and refreshed Pulsar models, Bajaj Auto is banking on the upcoming festive period to sustain the momentum seen in the broader two-wheeler market while reviving demand for its ageing 125cc and 150cc offerings.
