Bengaluru: Maruti Suzuki has launched the facelifted Baleno at a starting price of ₹6,09,900 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), with the premium hatchback getting a new engine, advanced safety features, first-in-segment ventilated seats and a host of upgrades as the carmaker looks to sharpen its premium offering.

The Baleno facelift comes as India’s automakers are once again turning their attention to hatchbacks after years of SUV-led growth. With rising vehicle prices putting pressure on affordability, Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors are betting on feature-rich small cars to bring first-time buyers back into the market.
