Mahindra & Mahindra reported its highest-ever monthly SUV sales in October 2026, with domestic utility vehicle sales rising 2% year-on-year to 73,338 units.

The automaker's total vehicle sales, including exports, stood at 1,31,109 units during the month, registering a growth of 9% year-on-year.

Overall utility vehicle sales, including exports, stood at 74,904 units. Domestic commercial vehicle sales increased 4% to 33,037 units.

"October was a landmark month for us, with SUV sales topping at 73,338 units and total vehicle sales of 1,31,109, both the highest we have ever clocked in a month," said Dr Velusamy R, president, automotive business, Mahindra & Mahindra.

He attributed the performance to festive-season demand and the company's refreshed portfolio, which supported sales across SUVs, pick-ups and three-wheelers. The company's first CNG vehicle, the XUV 3XO ZNG, has also seen strong customer traction, he said.

In the commercial vehicle and three-wheeler segment, domestic sales of vehicles below 2 tonnes declined 4% to 4,383 units. Sales in the 2-tonne to 3.5-tonne category rose 5% to 28,654 units.
