VE Commercial Vehicles sales up 25.6% at 6,083 units in Sept

NEW DELHI: VE Commercial Vehicles today reported sales of 6,083 units in September 2017, a rise of 25.6 per cent compared to the same month last year.

VE Commercial Vehicles, a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, sold 4,843 units in September last year, a company statement said.

It sold 5,934 units of Eicher brand last month as compared to 4,734 units in the year-ago period. The domestic sales stood at 5,084 units and exports stood at 850 units.

Volvo Trucks recorded sales of 149 units last month as compared to 109 units in September 2016.

In operation since July 2008, VE Commercial includes the complete range of Eicher branded trucks and buses, VE Powertrain, Eicher s components and engineering design services businesses as well as the sales and distribution business of Volvo trucks within India.
