JSW MG Motor appoints Parth Jindal as Chairman

Jindal has served on the Board of JSW MG Motor India “since the formation of the joint venture and has been closely involved in shaping the company’s product strategy, manufacturing expansion and localisation programme”, the company said in a statement.
Mid-term, JSW MG Motor has said it will invest Rs 3000-4000 crore towards expanding capacity, deepening localisation, and launching new products.
Currently, JSW MG Motor is structured as a 51:49 joint venture, with JSW holding 35%, Indian financial institutions 8%, MG Motor India dealers 3%, and JSW MG Motor India employees owning a 5% stake. The remaining 49% is held by China’s SAIC Motor.
The company clocked a 19% sales growth at 70,554 vehicles in 2025. Majority of the volumes came from the Windsor electric car.
The appointment comes at a time when the company is ramping up Indian operations, scheduling four new vehicles for launch in the market here in FY27.
Jindal had previously said that he wants the company to continue its position as a leading automotive brand in the new energy vehicle (NEV) segment that includes pure electric and hybrid cars. At any point in time, JSW MG Motor is targeting clocking 70-80% of total sales from NEVs.
Jindal is also the Managing Director of JSW Cement, Managing Director of JSW Paints, Chairman of JSW Dulux Limited and a Director on the Board of JSW Energy. He is also the Founder of JSW Sports and Chairman and Co-Owner of the Delhi Capitals.
