Hyundai launches new variant of Eon for Rs 3.83 lakh

NEW DELHI: Hyundai Motor India today rolled out a new variant of its entry level car Eon, priced at Rs 3.83 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The new variant, which comes with 1 litre Kappa engine, will be available along with the current 0.8 litre variants of Eon, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) said in a statement.

"Hyundai consistently innovates to meet and exceed the demands of the customer and the 1.0 litre Kappa engine now offered in Eon is an extension of our modern-premium brand philosophy," HMIL Managing Director & CEO B S Seo said.

The new variant will further consolidate Hyundai's position in the domestic market, he added.

The Euro-5 ready 1 litre Kappa petrol engine, which will be available in Magna+ variant of Eon, is designed to deliver high engine performance with enhanced fuel efficiency and low emissions, the company said.

"The all-aluminum 1 litre Kappa engine promises weight reduction with adoption of aluminum head and block that help achieve improved fuel economy, it added.
