The company is considering plans to manufacture motors and electronics for electric two and three wheelers, apart from participating in the sensor-based connectivity technology for passenger vehicles.
A door module expert, Brose has only a modest presence in India, but that is set to change quickly as the company sees business more than doubling in the next three-four years.
Ulrich Schrickel, global CEO of Brose Group told ET, “The Indian market is in the midst of a structural change and it will grow in an interesting manner. The Indian government is pushing towards clean mobility and Brose is well positioned to take advantage of the same with motors and electronics needed for this segment. Indian vehicle makers are looking for domain experts in these areas and we are more than happy to partner them.”
