Toyota Kirloskar Motor introduces CNG option for Glanza and Hyryder

Toyota Glanza, launched earlier this year, will now have a CNG variant in the S & G grades, along with a manual transmission powertrain, a company release said.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor on Wednesday announced its entry into the compressed natural gas (CNG) powered segment.

Customers will now have the option of CNG fuel for Glanza and Hyryder models, the Japanese-Indian joint venture said.

Toyota Glanza, launched earlier this year, will now have a CNG variant in the S & G grades, along with a manual transmission powertrain, a company release said.


The Hyryder model will now come with a factory-fitted CNG kit in both S & G grades. Both the grades will have a manual transmission powertrain as well.

The CNG variant of Hyryder will be in addition to the self-charging strong hybrid electric as well as the Neo Drive variants, the company announced.

As per a company statement in early November, demand continues to rise on strong bookings for the Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
