Lego has built a driveable life-size Bugatti Chiron supercar from a million Lego Technic pieces. The toy firm took 13,438 hours to development and construct the 1.5 tonne model.

What's it made of?
Of course Lego bricks. The exterior features interconnected triangular segments that make up an outer skin structure, mimicking the shape of the real Chiron. Move inside, and Lego pieces recreate the Chiron’s interior in detail. The dash, seats, and steering wheel are all there. The car features a rear spoiler, speedometer, front and rear lights, and a brake pedal.

The car cannot achieve the actual Chiron's 420 kph top speed. Instead, the car's motors are capable of taking the car up to 20 kph. The Technic creation comes with 2,304 motors, 4,032 gear wheels, and 2,016 cross axles all sourced from Lego Technic, generating a theoretical 5.3 horsepower and an estimated 67 pound-feet (92 Newton-meters) of torque.

The car is electrically powered, with two batteries, and over 2,300 Lego power function motors and over 4,000 Lego gear wheels that transfer power to the vehicle. There is no accelerator pedal, as the car's speed is based on the motor's output voltage.

This is the first fully-functional self-propelled life-size Lego Technic car ever. The car is also company's first non-glued model of such complexity. The Lego Chiron comes with real Chiron wheels and emblem.
