Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles on Saturday announced the launch date of its much-anticipated Tata Punch Facelift, with the refreshed SUV set to hit the market on January 13, promising updated styling and features aimed at strengthening its appeal in the compact SUV segment.

The Punch ICE, on sale since late 2021, has helped Tata Motors establish a strong presence in the sub-four-metre segment alongside the Nexon and continues to feature among the top-selling SUVs.

Spy images show prototypes with a closed-off front grille, tweaked headlamp housings and a bonnet design similar to the existing Punch EV, with DRLs positioned underneath. The absence of a visible front-mounted charging port suggests the possibility of an ICE version, though it may be concealed under camouflage. Other visible elements include blacked-out pillars and roof, electrically adjustable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, a 360-degree camera module and newly designed aero-style wheels. The side profile remains unchanged, while the rear is expected to receive revised tail lamps and a redesigned bumper.

The Punch ICE facelift is expected to continue with the existing 1.2-litre petrol engine, while the EV version may receive updates to its driving range. Inside, the updated models are likely to feature a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a new steering wheel, a refreshed dashboard and the addition of new features and technologies.
