Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles to cost up to ₹25,000 more from September 1
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles will raise vehicle prices by up to ₹25,000 from September 1 across its portfolio, including petrol, diesel and electric models, to partly offset higher input costs and inflation.
The price increase across the portfolio, covering both internal combustion engine and electric vehicles (EVs), will vary across models and variants.

"This price revision is being undertaken to partially offset the impact of rising input costs and sustained inflationary pressures," the company said in a statement.
It comes after other carmakers, including Maruti Suzuki India, Hyundai Motor India and Mahindra & Mahindra, announced price revisions citing higher commodity costs. While Hyundai said on Wednesday that it would increase prices by one percentage point, Maruti revised prices across its model line-up by up to ₹30,000 with effect from August 1. Mahindra had earlier increased prices of its sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and commercial vehicles by 2.7% and 2%, respectively, on average with effect from July 10.

While TMPV continues to absorb a significant portion of increased input costs, part of the impact is being passed on to customers through this adjustment, according to the company.
The extent of the price increase will vary across models and variants, ensuring that the overall value proposition of each offering is maintained, it said.
TMPV sells a range of conventional engine and electric vehicles from entry-level hatchback Tiago to premium SUV Safari and Harrier EV at prices ranging from about ₹4.7 lakh to ₹31 lakh.
