TATA.ev has partnered with Shell India Mobility to set up 21 new TATA.ev x Shell Mega Charging Hubs across India. The new charging sites are located in Bengaluru, Chennai, Mysuru, Pune and Vadodara.

As per the company release, the expansion is aimed at strengthening India’s public EV charging network and supporting the growing demand for electric vehicle infrastructure across major cities and highways.

TATA.ev and Shell expand EV charging network in India

Each TATA.ev x Shell Mega Charging Hub is equipped with 120 kW DC fast chargers. These chargers are designed to reduce charging time and minimise waiting periods for EV drivers. The hubs are placed along busy city routes and important intercity highways, making them suitable for both daily commuting and long-distance travel.

With these 21 new sites, the TATA.ev Mega Charging Hubs network now has more than 130 operational locations across India. Under its ‘Open Collaboration 2.0’ strategy, TATA.ev is working with charge point operators to expand access to fast and reliable EV charging. The company plans to introduce over 400,000 charging points, including 500 Mega Charging Hubs, by 2027.

Bengaluru gets highest number of TATA.ev Mega Charging Hubs

In Bengaluru, nine new hubs have been added, bringing the total number in the city to 13, the highest in the country. Locations include Yeshwanthpur, Thanisandra, Avalahalli, Chandapura, Devanahalli, Mysore Road, Prestige Tech Park, Kanakapura Road and Hennur Road.

These charging hubs improve EV connectivity along major corridors such as Bengaluru–Mysuru, Bengaluru–Tumakuru, Bengaluru–Hosur and Bengaluru–Hyderabad. They also support everyday travel within the city by providing fast charging access in key residential and commercial areas.

Each site features multiple charging bays and 120 kW fast chargers to ensure efficient and reliable service for urban and intercity journeys.

New charging hubs in Mysuru, Pune and Vadodara

In Mysuru, a Mega Charging Hub has been set up at Hunsur along the Mangalore–Mysuru highway. This location supports drivers entering the city and travelling along a key highway route in Karnataka.

Pune has received five new hubs at Pimple Nilakh, Wagholi, Chakan, Talegaon and Varve. These locations support office commutes, city travel and highway journeys from Mumbai, Nashik, Satara and Ahilyanagar.

Fast charging with added convenience for EV owners

Along with 120 kW DC fast charging, the hubs offer access to Shell Select and Deli2go stores for food and beverages. Restroom facilities are available at each location. According to the companies, drivers can charge without needing a dedicated app or digital payment system, and staff are present on-site to assist if required.
