Tata.Cars launches Aeris compact sedan at starting price of Rs 5.29 lakh

Tata.Cars on Friday launched the all-new Aeris, a compact sedan positioned exclusively for personal car buyers, with introductory prices starting at Rs 5.29 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 6.29 lakh for the iCNG version.

Bookings for the Aeris are now open, with deliveries beginning soon. The sedan will be available across Tata.Cars dealerships in India.

The Aeris has been designed specifically for private customers, with a focus on design, comfort, technology, features and personal expression, while retaining the practicality of a sedan for daily use and long-distance driving.


The company said the model marks a departure from the conventional approach of using the same product for both fleet and personal customers. Aeris will not enter the fleet segment, while Tata.Cars will continue to cater to fleet requirements through the dedicated Xpres-T brand.

The Aeris is available with petrol and CNG powertrain options, along with manual and automated manual transmission (AMT) choices.

The 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine is offered with a five-speed manual and AMT transmission. The iCNG version is also available with an AMT, while twin-cylinder iCNG technology is aimed at efficient packaging while retaining the practical advantages of a sedan.

The Aeris is priced from Rs 5.29 lakh to Rs 8.74 lakh for petrol variants and Rs 6.29 lakh to Rs 9.74 lakh for CNG variants, ex-showroom Delhi.

The petrol manual range starts at Rs 5.29 lakh, while the petrol AMT starts at Rs 6.69 lakh. The CNG manual range starts at Rs 6.29 lakh and the CNG AMT at Rs 7.69 lakh.

Design and features

The Aeris features LED headlamps and DRLs, a wide lower grille, diamond-cut aero alloy wheels, Infinity Connected LED tail lamps, a dual-tone black roof, Cosmo Grain textured wheel-arch cladding and chrome-line door handles.

Inside, the sedan gets AeroLux ventilated leatherette seats, an OpenView dashboard, dual screens, a 26.03cm HD touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.7cm Digital Island Cluster.

The feature list includes a first-in-segment Dual Smartphone Deck with wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, iRA with more than 35 connected features, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, 65W Type-C fast chargers and a 419-litre boot.

Safety

The Aeris is built around Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles' Safety Dome and uses Ultra High Strength Steel for 360-degree impact protection.

Six airbags are standard, along with Electronic Stability Program, ABS with EBD and CSC, Hill Hold Control and ISOFIX anchors.

The sedan also gets a first-in-segment Blind View Monitor and MultiView Digital Video Recorder, a 360-degree SVS HD camera with 2D and 3D views, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, rear defogger and enhanced rear impact protection.

The iCNG variants come with additional safeguards including leak detection, leak-proof materials, thermal incident protection and rear crash protection.

Tata.Cars said the Aeris combines design, technology, safety and powertrain choices with everyday usability, positioning the model as a sedan designed exclusively for individual and family use.
