Skoda Slavia facelift is set to go on sale in India today, 18 August 2026, with variant-wise prices to be announced at the launch event. The updated midsize sedan is expected to bring revised styling, a significantly upgraded cabin and a new automatic gearbox for its entry-level engine, though Skoda is yet to confirm the full specification list ahead of the reveal.

The Slavia facelift follows the same update cycle as the recently refreshed Kushaq, with several features from that SUV expected to carry over to the sedan.

Skoda Slavia Facelift: What Changes on the Outside?

The facelift is expected to take an evolutionary approach to the Slavia's exterior rather than redesigning it. At the front, the broad grille is expected to be retained but with revised chrome detailing, while the headlamps are likely to get updated internals. The front bumper is expected to feature a redesigned lower section with revised fog lamp housings.

The side profile is expected to remain largely unchanged, with a new five-spoke alloy wheel design anticipated as one of the updates. The chrome strip along the window line is expected to continue.

At the rear, tweaked LED tail-lamps and a revised bumper are expected. Skoda could also introduce illuminated lettering on the boot lid, though it remains unconfirmed whether the Slavia will get connected tail-lamps similar to those on the updated Kushaq. New exterior colour options are also anticipated.

Skoda Slavia Facelift Interior and Features

Inside, the dashboard layout is expected to remain broadly familiar, with updates to equipment, trim and upholstery. One of the more significant expected additions is a 10.25-inch fully digital driver's display, similar to the unit introduced on the Kushaq facelift.

Revised seat upholstery and new interior colour combinations are also anticipated, while higher variants are expected to gain front parking sensors as a new addition. A rear-seat massage function, which made its debut on the Kushaq facelift, could also feature on the Slavia, though Skoda has not confirmed this.

Existing features are expected to carry over, including the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone charging, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, a single-pane sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats and an eight-speaker audio system.

On the safety front, the existing package is expected to continue with six airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, hill-hold assist, electronic differential lock, multi-collision braking and tyre pressure monitoring.

The most significant mechanical change expected on the Slavia facelift concerns the 1.0-litre TSI engine. The three-cylinder turbo-petrol unit is expected to continue producing 116bhp and 178Nm, but the existing six-speed automatic gearbox is anticipated to be replaced by a new eight-speed torque-converter unit, the same transmission introduced with the updated Kushaq.

The new gearbox is expected to offer smoother responses at low speeds and improved refinement in stop-and-go city traffic compared to the outgoing unit. A six-speed manual will continue to be available with the 1.0-litre engine.

The 1.5-litre four-cylinder TSI engine is expected to remain unchanged, continuing to produce 150bhp and 250Nm. It will remain on offer with a six-speed manual and a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox.

Skoda Slavia Facelift Price and Rivals

Skoda is expected to announce the full variant-wise pricing at today's launch. Given the styling updates, additional equipment and the new automatic gearbox, a modest price increase over the current model is widely anticipated, though the extent of the revision will only be clear once Skoda makes the official announcement.

The updated Slavia will continue to compete in the midsize sedan segment against the Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna and Honda City.
