Skoda brings down car prices across entire India line-up, passes on full GST benefits to buyers

The largest drop will be on the premium Kodiaq SUV, which will be cheaper by up to Rs 3,28,267. The Kylaq compact SUV will see a reduction of up to Rs 1,19,295.
Among mass-market offerings, the Kushaq SUV will cost up to Rs 65,828 less, while the Slavia sedan will be cheaper by as much as Rs 63,207.
The company is also running a limited-period offer ahead of the effective date. Buyers of the Kushaq, Slavia and Kodiaq can avail discounts equivalent to the revised GST benefit until September 21.
As festive sale season approaches, Skoda is betting that its lower sticker prices will not only increase footfall in showrooms but also strengthen its presence in India’s fast-growing passenger vehicle market.
Ashish Gupta, Brand Director at Skoda Auto India, told news agency PTI that the GST revision as a positive step for both industry and consumers.
“The revised and simplified GST structure is a welcome step by the Government of India, that works in favour of both the industry and our customers,” he said.
He said that the clarity in tax rates strengthens the premium car segment, while improved affordability makes Skoda’s range more accessible in the volume market.
“For us, this means our products are available at even more attractive prices, allowing the brand to reach a wider audience,” Gupta noted.
Skoda's price cuts come at a time when carmakers are under pressure to balance affordability with rising input costs. For Skoda, the price cut provides a strategic lever to appeal to a wider set of buyers, particularly in competitive SUV and sedan categories.
