New Maruti Suzuki Baleno launched with added features

Maruti Suzuki today launched a new version of its popular hatchback, the Baleno. The facelift comes with new features and colour options, but is costlier than the older model as well. It comes in both diesel and petrol versions.

The Baleno facelift is priced Rs 5.45 lakh onwards (e-showroom, Delhi) for the petrol sigma model which is Rs 7000 more than the older model. The diesel version starts from Rs 6.60 lakh - Rs 9,000 costlier than its predecessor.

The 2019 Baleno offers a new bumper and 16-inch alloy wheels. The new version will also come in two new colour options - Phoenix Red and Magma Grey.


The new Baleno also offers additional safety features like speed alert system, co-driver seat belt reminder and rear parking assist sensors. These are over and above the standard dual airbags, child seat restrain system (ISOFIX), Pre-tensioner and force limiter seat belts and ABS with EBD.

Another upgrade include its 17.78 cm Smartplay Studio infotainment system which apart from features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, comes with features like voice recognition, parking camera, Bluetooth, vehicle information like fuel, parking brake etc.

Like the older version, it too comes in 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine and 1.3-litre diesel engine versions.
