Maruti Suzuki rate cuts:
India's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki has decided to pass on full GST benefit to customers starting September 22. Not just small cars, the company has all cut rates over its SUV segment, including Grant Vitara and Brezza.The price cuts for cars span up to Rs 1.29 lakh, depending upon the car's category and model. To make its vehicles more attractive for two-wheeler users, urging them to switch to four-wheelers, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has decided to cut prices of its small cars over and above the GST benefit of 8.5%.
For hatchback models like S-Presso, Alto K10, and Celerio, the automaker has announced steepest cuts, between ₹90,000 and ₹1.29 lakh.

- S Presso price will go down by up to Rs 1,29,600
- Alto K10 price will go down by up to Rs 1,07,600
- Celerio price will go down by Rs 94,100
- Wagon-R price will go down by up to Rs 79,600
- Ignis price will go down by up to Rs 71,300
What's changing for other Maruti cars?
- Swift price will go down by up to Rs 84,600
- Baleno price will go down by up to Rs 86,100
- Tour S price will go down by up to Rs 67,200
- Dzire price will go down by up to Rs 87,700
- Fronx price will go down by up to Rs 1,12,600
What's in the deal for SUV lovers?
- Brezza price will go down by up to Rs 1,12,700
- Grand Vitara price will go down by up to Rs 1.07 lakh
- Jimny price will go down by up to Rs 51,900
- Ertiga price will go down by up to Rs 46,400
- XL6 price will go down by up to Rs 52,000
Tata Motors to cut prices of passenger vehicles:
Tata Motors is set to reduce the prices of its passenger vehicles by Rs 75,000 to Rs 1.45 lakh effective September 22. The price of Tata's compact SUV Punch will come down by Rs 85,000 and that of Nexon by Rs 1.55 lakh.Other models by Tata Motors:
- Mid-sized model Curvv would see a price cut of Rs 65,000
- Harrier would see a price reduction of Rs 1.4 lakh
- Safari would see a price reduction of Rs 1.45 lakh
M&M is also in the rate-cutting game:
SUV-major Mahindra & Mahindra has already enforced a price cut of up to Rs 1.56 lakh on its passenger vehicle range.Check price reductions by Mahindra & Mahindra:
- Price of Bolero/Neo range reduced by Rs 1.27 lakh
- Price of XUV3XO (petrol) reduced by Rs 1.4 lakh
- Price of XUV3XO (diesel) reduced by Rs 1.56 lakh
- Price of THAR 2WD (diesel) reduced by Rs 1.35 lakh
- Price of THAR 4WD (diesel) reduced by Rs 1.01 lakh
- Price of Scorpio Classic reduced by Rs 1.01 lakh
Auto sector is all set for the festive season
Hyundai has announced a price cut between Rs 60,640 on Verna to Rs 2.4 lakh on premium SUV Tucson. Kia India will be reducing prices of its vehicles by up to Rs 4.48 lakh. On a similar note, Honda is set to reduce the price of compact sedan Amaze by up to Rs 95,500, City by Rs 57,500 and Elevate by Rs 58,400. Toyota Kirloskar Motor's customers to see a price reduction of up to Rs 3.49 lakh.
Luxury car makers join the band
After all the affordable segment carmakers, luxury car market leader Mercedes-Benz announced price cuts ranging from Rs 2 lakh (A-Class) to Rs 10 lakh (S-Class) under GST 2.0.BMW Motor India also announced price reductions of up to Rs 13.6 lakh across its India portfolio, which also includes its Mini range. Audi has announced a price cut of Rs 2.6 lakh to over Rs 7.8 lakh in India across its car models. Another luxury carmaker Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has already announced its reduced vehicle prices with price cuts ranging between Rs 4.5 lakh and Rs 30.4 lakh.
