MINI Cooper S GP Inspired Edition launched in India: Check price, features and more

The new MINI Cooper S GP Inspired Edition was launched in India on Monday at the newly inaugurated MINI Eminent Cars dealership in Surat. The special edition model will be imported as a completely built-up unit (CBU) and is available for booking across all authorised MINI India dealerships, with deliveries beginning immediately.

The vehicle is limited to just 30 units in India, positioning it as an exclusive offering in the premium compact car segment.

MINI Cooper S GP price

The ex-showroom price of the MINI Cooper S GP Inspired Edition is set at ₹58,90,000. MINI India has stated that prices applicable at the time of invoicing will apply, and costs exclude road tax, insurance, registration, TCS and other applicable local levies.

BMW Group India said the edition celebrates the brand’s racing heritage, with GP-inspired styling elements and design cues. The model features exclusive Legend Grey exterior paintwork, Chilli Red accents on the roof and mirror caps, and GP-inspired bonnet and side stripes.

A “1/30” C-pilllar badge highlights its limited production status, while additional design elements include JCW aerodynamic enhancements such as spoiler extensions, winglets and rear diffuser. The car also features alloy wheels in JCW styling and red-accented wheel hub caps for a motorsport-inspired appearance.

Features, interiors and digital technology

The interior features JCW sports seats, Vescin Black upholstery, illuminated GP-themed door sills, and “1/30” branded floor mats. The cabin includes a minimalist design with recycled textile surfaces and ambient lighting integration.

The vehicle is equipped with a 240 mm circular OLED touchscreen running MINI Operating System 9, along with voice-enabled MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant activated via “Hey MINI”. It also supports MINI Digital Key Plus, wireless smartphone integration, head-up display, Harman Kardon sound system, and advanced connectivity features including remote services and software updates.

MINI Cooper S GP engine

The MINI Cooper S GP Inspired Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre TwinPower Turbo petrol engine producing 150 kW (204 hp) and 300 Nm of torque. The car accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and has a top speed of 242 km/h.

It is paired with a 7-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission and adaptive suspension, designed to enhance sporty driving dynamics.

Warranty and ownership benefits

The model comes with a standard two-year unlimited kilometre warranty along with 24x7 roadside assistance. Service-inclusive packages begin from three years or 40,000 km and can be extended up to 10 years or 1,00,000 km. Warranty extension options are also available from the third year onwards.

BMW Financial Services is offering MINI 360° finance plans, including flexible EMI options, buy-back guarantees for up to five years, and upgrade options to new models.

Safety and assistance features

The MINI Cooper S GP Inspired Edition includes standard safety features such as airbags, ABS, brake assist, dynamic stability control, rear-view camera, tyre pressure monitoring system and cornering brake control. Advanced driver assistance systems such as cruise control and parking assist are also included.
