- S 450e Launch Edition Exclusive Line: Rs 2.20 crore
- S 450e Manufaktur Edition AMG Line: Rs 2.38 crore
Powertrain and performance
The S 450e is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six petrol engine paired with an electric motor and a 22 kWh battery pack, producing a combined 435 hp and 680 Nm of torque. Drive goes to the rear wheels via a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
The sedan does 0–100 kmph in 5.7 seconds and returns a WLTP-rated fuel efficiency of 32.2 kmpl. Mercedes-Benz claims an electric-only range of up to 115 km, among the longest for a plug-in hybrid luxury sedan currently on sale in India. The battery charges from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 20 minutes on a 60 kW DC fast charger.
Design updates
The facelift brings a larger grille with chrome three-pointed star inserts, an optional illuminated surround, and revised Digital Light LED headlamps with star-themed graphics. At the rear, the tail-lamps feature illuminated star motifs and animated lighting sequences.
The front bumper has been redesigned with larger air intake elements. New alloy wheel designs and fresh paint options are also on offer.
Cabin and technology
India receives the long-wheelbase version as standard. The four-seat configuration offers executive rear seats that recline up to 43.5 degrees, with heating, ventilation, and massage functions across all seats. Additional sound insulation and an expanded ambient lighting package, covering the dashboard, door panels, centre console, air vents, armrests, and rear seats, have also been added.
