Maruti Suzuki to make global premiere of concept FUTURO-E at Auto Expo

The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki will make the global premiere of concept SUV FUTURO-E at the biennial motor show held in Greater Noida in February.

FUTURO-E is a coupe style SUV which encapsulates the company’s vision for the future of e-mobility.

C V Raman, senior executive director (engineering), Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “The latest Concept FUTURO-e is a coupé style SUV. A first from Maruti Suzuki stable. A departure from existing design.”


“Today, customers are looking for futuristic design and technologies. FUTURO-e is our vision for future e-mobility. It is a combination of design and technology and represents the kind of proportions that we can achieve in the future”, he added.

The concept has been developed completely at the Maruti Suzuki R&D Centre in Haryana.

The company wants to gauge customer feedback by showcasing the concept at the motor show this year. Based on the response received, it will decided on developing the vehicle.
