Domestic passenger vehicle sales grew 21% to 1,70,971 units, driven by strong demand across entry-level cars, compact models and SUVs. Mini-segment sales (Alto, S-Presso) rose to 12,347 units from 9,750 units, while compact cars (Baleno, Swift, Dzire, Ignis) increased to 72,926 units from 61,373 units a year earlier.
Utility vehicles — including Brezza, Grand Vitara, Ertiga and XL6 — continued to power overall volumes, climbing to 72,498 units, up from 59,003 units last November. The Eeco van also saw higher sales at 13,200 units, while Super Carry LCV dispatches rose to 3,622 units.
Exports surged 61% to 46,057 units, marking Maruti Suzuki’s highest-ever monthly outbound shipments.
The strong performance comes as India’s top automakers reported robust November sales, helped by GST cuts that lowered prices of SUVs and small cars. Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles posted 22% growth each, while Hyundai Motor India recorded a 4.3% rise.
Industry executives say demand has remained resilient even after the festive season. Maruti’s head of marketing and sales, Partho Banerjee, said the company is struggling to keep up with demand: “Our production team is working on Sundays and holidays to meet market requirements.”
In the April–November period of FY26, Maruti Suzuki’s total domestic and export sales touched 15.29 lakh units, up from 14.51 lakh units a year ago.
