India's leading automaker Maruti Suzuki India plans to open up to 700 outlets of its NEXA Studio by 2030-31 as it seeks to tap opportunity in India's Tier-II and Tier III cities, a senior company official said on Friday. The carmaker has opened its 200th NEXA Studio outlet at Kharkhoda in Haryana, expecting 25-30 per cent of its NEXA sales to come from the small format premium retail outlet.

"We mark a historic leap in our journey, the launch of our 200th Nexa Studio," the company executive said during the event, adding that Maruti Suzuki has opened one NEXA Studio outlet almost every third day in the last 18 months.

"By 2030-31, we are aiming something between 600 to 700 NEXA Studio outlets across the country," Maruti Suzuki India Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Partho Banerjee said.


To fulfil the aspirations of emerging India, Maruti Suzuki is taking the NEXA experience closer to the customers. "We are replicating the exact premium experience that is found in our largest city outreach," the executive said.Maruti Suzuki India Limited will enable all NEXA studios with public charging infrastructure, it said.

"MSIL achieved the milestone of having 200 NEXA Studios in a record 18 months. We have expanded next touch points in 173 districts, and we have already touched base with more than 5 lakh plus customers," the company executive said, "We have delivered 42,000 plus vehicles from our NEXA Studios."

The rapid expansion of NEXA Studiosdemonstrates our commitment to make thisexperience accessible to our aspirational customers in semi-urban areas, Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO said, adding that there is a growing segment ofcustomers in these areas who are desirous of a premium car buying experience.
