Maruti Suzuki hikes prices for Swift, WagonR

Country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki today hiked prices for its Swift and Wagon R models. The price rise will come into effect from today. In a regulatory filing to stock exchange, Maruti said it has introduced new CNG variants of Alto, safety and BS-VI compliant Swift and BS-VI compliant WagonR.

The company announced that it has introduced safety compliant & BS-VI compliant new Swift. "The Swift is now compliant to AIS-145 Safety Norms (both Petrol and Diesel) and BS-VI compliant," it said.

"This will result in price increase in all variants of Swift. Depending on features introduced across variants, the Ex-showroom price in Delhi and NCR region shall vary from Rs. 5, 14,000 to Rs. 8,89,000," it added.


The company has revised the prices for all variants in Wagon R (1.0 liter). "The revised Ex-showroom price in Delhi and NCR region shall vary from Rs. 4,34,000 to Rs. 5,33,000 and in rest of lndia from Rs 4,39,000 to Rs 5,38,000."

Besides that, it has also introduced BS-VI version in WagonR. "Depending on features introduced across variants, the Ex-showroom price in Delhi and NCR region shall vary from Rs. 5, 10,000 to Rs 5,91,000 and in rest oflndia from Rs 5, 15,000 to Rs 5,96,000," Maruti said.

The company has also launched "CNG variants" New ALTO . "The Ex-showroom price in Delhi and NCR region for Lxi and Lxi (O)launched in New Alto CNG is Rs 4, 10,570 and Rs. 4, 14, 190, respectively," Maruti said.
