The vehicle will be available at a starting price of Rs 10.99 lakh under a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, with battery usage charged separately at Rs 3.99 per kilometre.

Bookings for the e VITARA were expected to open from January 2026 onwards. While the company has now revealed the introductory vehicle price under the BaaS model, full variant-wise pricing details have not yet been announced.
After production commenced in August 2025, Maruti exported nearly 13,000 units of the e VITARA to 28 countries by the end of the year.
The model has been developed under parent company Suzuki Motor Corporation’s global design and manufacturing collaboration with Toyota, and is being built in India for both domestic and overseas markets.
What does the e VITARA offer?
Maruti Suzuki Managing Director and CEO Hisashi Takeuchi earlier said that the company is entering the EV segment only after preparing both the product and the ecosystem. The e VITARA offers a claimed range of up to 543 km and will be available in three variants — Delta, Zeta and Alpha — with two battery pack options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The Delta variant comes with the smaller battery, while the higher trims get the larger pack.
To ease range anxiety, the company has set up over 2,000 charging points across 1,100 cities, including the top 100 cities with high EV penetration. It has also partnered with 13 leading charge point operators and aggregators to widen access to public charging infrastructure.
On launch day itself, 2,000 chargers were set to go live.
Looking ahead, the company plans to establish around one lakh charging stations by 2030 in partnership with dealer networks and charging operators, aligning with parent company Suzuki Motor Corporation’s broader electrification roadmap.
Beyond pricing, Maruti Suzuki is offering multiple ownership models, a subscription plan and an assured buyback programme.
The SUV’s body structure uses more than 60 percent ultra-high and high-tensile steel, while the battery pack features an energy-absorbing mounting structure designed to enhance protection.
