Kia Seltos 2026 coming in new avatar next month. Here's what we know

Kia is gearing up to introduce the next generation of the Seltos, and test mules spotted on Indian roads have already given us a sneak peek at what’s coming. Reports suggest the updated SUV may make its debut on December 10, taking over from the current model that has been on sale since 2019 and was refreshed in 2023.

The upcoming Seltos is expected to sport a fresh exterior language and a more premium cabin loaded with advanced technology. There are also strong indications that Kia will offer a new hybrid powertrain alongside the existing engine lineup.

Despite being under heavy camouflage, major design changes are quite distinguishable. The SUV appears to adopt a taller and more rugged stance, featuring:


A more upright front grille with vertical styling accents
Stacked triple-pod LED headlamps paired with sharp DRLs
A bolder, more sculpted bumper design for a commanding presence

The sharper, boxier profile is likely to be complemented with connected LED light signatures at both ends, sportier alloy wheels, redesigned ORVMs with integrated indicators, and functional roof rails.

Inside, the next-gen Seltos is expected to undergo a significant makeover. Although interior images are yet to surface, reports claimed that the car may offer premium upholstery and refined materials. Also, it is expected to offer a fresh dashboard layout with a seamless digital instrument cluster and infotainment setup alongwith enhanced connectivity and comfort features.

Under the bonnet, Kia is expected to continue with the current petrol and diesel engines, while introducing a new 7-speed automatic option for the diesel variant. A hybrid setup could become one of the biggest upgrades, aimed at boosting overall efficiency and appeal.

Once launched, the revamped Seltos will continue to rival segment favourites such as the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Toyota Hyryder. A complete unveiling is anticipated in early 2026.
