Jeep India launches 2023 Compass 4X2; prices reduced by up to Rs 6 lakh

Jeep India has unveiled the 2023 Compass in a new 4X2 variant, offering Indian consumers an enticing entry point into the Compass lineup. The 2023 Jeep Compass range now commences at an attractive price point of Rs 20.49 lakh (ex-showroom), significantly reducing the entry-level price by nearly Rs 1 lakh. The automatic range of the Compass starts at Rs 23.99 lakh (ex-showroom), marking a 20% reduction in pricing compared to previous models, making the automatic variant significantly more affordable, with a reduction of almost 6 lakhs!

Jeep India has also introduced the new Jeep Meridian Overland Edition SUV, featuring striking updates such as new alloy wheels, an updated grille pattern, body-colored bumpers, and fresh upholstery inside. The automaker has not revealed the prices of new Jeep Meridian Overland Edition yet.


2023 Jeep Compass 4X2: Exterior

The 2023 Jeep Compass 4X2 boasts an impressive exterior design with a glossy-black grille, glossy-black 18-inch alloy wheels, front LED reflector headlamps, standard LED tail-lamps, LED fog lamps, and LED projector headlamps. The 2023 Jeep Compass Black Shark Edition takes things further with a body-color painted roof and lower cladding, striking 18-inch aluminum black-gloss painted wheels, black leatherette seats, unique ignite red highlights, and distinctive BlackShark badging on the fenders.

The 2023 Jeep Compass 4X2 has a 10.1-inch infotainment system and a luxurious 10.25-inch frameless fully-colored digital TFT gauge cluster. Besides, it offers a panoramic sunroof, and wireless charging pad adds a touch of sophistication. With the revised variant lineup, mid-spec variants of the 2023 Jeep Compass will now feature a panoramic sunroof, enhanced connectivity, and automatic transmission for added convenience.

2023 Jeep Compass 4X2: Engine Specifications

The Jeep Compass 4X2 is powered by a 2.0-liter direct injection turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, that delivers 170 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a versatile six-speed manual transmission or a cutting-edge nine-speed automatic transmission. Jeep India claims that the nine-speed automatic transmission is the first in its segment, offering seamless gear shifts and best-in-class fuel economy. Additionally, the Engine Stop-Start (ESS) technology is standard across all trims, allowing the Jeep Compass 4X2 to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 9.8 seconds.

For safety, there's four-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), four-channel Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Advanced Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist, all-speed traction control, rear seat reminder alert, and Rain Brake Assist in the 2023 Jeep Compass 4X2. These safety features are standard across all trims, ensuring peace of mind for every Compass driver.

The new Jeep Compass lineup offers a range of five models: Sport, Longitude/Longitude Plus, Limited, BlackShark, and Model S.
