India-spec Nissan Kicks compact SUV unveiled

The company said that the new Kicks has been designed and built with GRAPHENE (Gravity-philicEnergy Absorption) body structure. This new architecture has been claimed to offer good impact energy absorption, making the vehicle stronger and safer. Talking about the dimensions, it has a wheelbase of 2,673mm and measures 4,384mm in length, 1,813mm in width and 1,656mm in height. It clearly shows that the Kicks is dimensionally bigger than its direct rival - the Creta.

Nissan Kicks takes inspiration from the Nissan's other global SUVs. It gets a host of established design signatures and features like floating roof design and blacked out pillars, providing the model with a triple-tone colour scheme. The vehicle further gets silver roof rails and a shark-fin antenna at the top. The front gets Nissan's signature V-motion grille with sleek projector headlamps. The headlamp cluster also features LED daytime running lights (DRLs).

Besides the Creta, Renault Duster and Capture, the new Nissan Kicks will get some heat from the top variants of the market leader Maruti Suzuki Brezza and other lower-segment sub-compact SUVs like Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon.
