Hyundai Motor sales grow 20% to sell 45,809 units in August

NEW DELHI: The country’s second largest automaker Hyundai Motor India Tuesday reported a growth of 20% to sell 45,809 units in August.

The company had sold 38,205 units in the corresponding period of the last financial year.

Tarun Garg, Director ( sales, marketing and service), HMIL, said, “Good response to the all new Creta, Verna, Tucson, Nios, Aura and the recently launched IMT Powertrain Hyundai Venue led to this performance.”


Garg added the company would continue to grow sales with cautious optimism as uncertainty still surrounds the pandemic.

Hyundai exported 6,800 units last month compared to 17,800 units in the year-ago period.
