Force Motors begins delivery of its SUV Gurkha 2021

The delivery of Force Motor's Gurkha SUV, a competitor to Mahindra's Thar, has commenced at multiple locations across India. Priced at Rs 13.59 lakh, the latest iteration of Gurkha was launched last month. The company in a press release today said the response has been very encouraging and that the dealers have already started receiving bookings from the customers.

Ashutosh Khosla, President of Sales and Marketing said, “We already have enough bookings to cover the supplies for the next three months." The SUV has started arriving at select dealerships and test drives are being offered to prospective customers, the company said.

Following the robust response in the initial stages, the company says footprint will be expanded in a phased manner in the coming months.


The 2021 Gurkha is powered by the Mercedes-derived 2.6 litre, 91hp common rail, direct injection, turbocharged diesel engine. It is the only vehicle that comes with a factory-fitted air intake snorkel and manually operated, positive locking, mechanical differential locks on all four wheels.
