2024 Maserati GranTurismo launched in India: Price, specs, and features

Maserati, the renowned Italian luxury automotive brand, has launched the 2024 GranTurismo in India. Priced starting at Rs 2.72 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Grand Tourer marks a shift from its previous Ferrari-sourced engine to Maserati's in-house 3.0L V6 twin-turbo Nettuno engine. The GranTurismo is available in two trims: Modena and Trofeo. An all-electric Folgore model is expected to join the lineup in 2025.

The 3.0L V6 petrol engine, which draws on F1-derived technologies, powers both trims but with varying outputs. The Trofeo trim delivers 550 hp and 650 Nm of torque, enabling a top speed of 320 km/h and a 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.5 seconds. The Modena trim, slightly less powerful, offers 490 hp and 600 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 302 km/h and a 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds.

Maserati has focused on innovation with the GranTurismo, utilizing lightweight materials such as aluminum and magnesium, alongside high-performance steel. This combination results in exceptional weight efficiency, thanks to advanced manufacturing processes that enhance the vehicle's overall performance.

The GranTurismo’s interior is both modern and luxurious, featuring the Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) Multimedia system and state-of-the-art infotainment. The unified touchscreen display controls various functions, complemented by a digital clock, an optional Heads-up Display, and the premium Sonus Faber Audio system. All models come with All-Wheel Drive (AWD) transmission for superior handling.

The positioning of the front differential in line with the engine allows for a lower engine placement and an ideal mass distribution, enhancing the car's dynamics. This strategic design choice not only improves the vehicle's profile but also lowers its center of gravity, contributing to its superior handling and performance on the road.
