Toyota launches Fortuner Legender in India

Fortuner Legender priced at Rs 37.58 lakh
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Wednesday launched the new version of its premium SUV Fortuner, priced between Rs 29.98 lakh and Rs 37.43 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The company also introduced a high-end trim of the model, christened as Legender, priced at Rs 37.58 lakh.

A worthy upgrade
Positioned above the standard model, Fortuner Legender is equipped with slim LED headlights along with LED DRLs. It also gets a dual-tone exterior with contrasting gloss black surfaces. It sports a new front bumper with deep set fog lamp housings and large air dams

New features
On the inside, the Fortuner Legender comes with a 9.0-inch touchscreen head-unit with Apple CarPlay. Keeping up with the times, it will also have wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, lane departure warning system, radar guided cruise control and a wheel orientation sensor.

Heart of the matter
The Fortuner will be offered with two engine options. These include an updated 2.8-litre turbo-diesel engine that makes 201 BHP and 500 Nm and a 2.7-litre petrol unit that puts out 164 BHP and 245 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. AWD will probably be available only in the diesel variants.

Changes to the rear
The Legender variant gets a sportier looking bumper at the back as well. While there are no changes to the side profile of the Legender but it will probably get a new design for its 18-inch alloy wheels.

Gamut of colours
Toyota will be offering the Fortuner facelift in nine colour options - Super White, Pearl White, Grey Metallic, Silver Metallic, Attitude Black, Phantom Brown, Av. Bronze, Sparkling Black and a dual-tone of Pearl White with Matte Black.
