Shares of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles slipped as much as 3% to their day's low of Rs 309 on the BSE on Friday after the reports.
"Due to a part supply challenge with a supplier, we are temporarily pausing production on certain vehicle lines at our Solihull manufacturing facility. We are working closely with that supplier to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and minimise any impact on our clients or our operations," a JLR spokesperson told BBC.
Employees are expected to continue attending the site as usual during the pause.

The latest hiccup adds to a series of recent challenges for the West Midlands-based carmaker. Last year, a major cyberattack forced the company to shut down its computer systems for several weeks, disrupting operations before production eventually returned to normal levels.
