Tata Motors' October sales rise 5.89% to 82,954 units

Tata Motors said Wednesday it sold 82,954 vehicles in October, a 5.89% increase from 78,335 units sold in the same month last year. Of these, domestic sales rose 6% on year to 80,825 units from 76,537 units sold in October 2022, according to the company's regulatory filing.

Passenger vehicles sales, including that of electric vehicles, in the domestic market were at 48,337 units, up 7% from 45,217 units in the year-ago period, the company said.

Tata Motors reported a 28% growth in electric passenger vehicle sales, totaling 5,465 units in both international and domestic markets for the current month, compared to 4,277 units in the corresponding month the previous year.


Tata Motors' total commercial vehicle sales rose 4% in October to 34,317 units from 32,912 units a year earlier, it added.

Total sales for MH&ICV Domestic & International Business in October 2023, including trucks and buses, stood at 16,048 units compared to 13,940 units in October 2022, the company said.
