Following the Gurugram and Manesar plants, Suzuki has expanded its India footprint with the Hansalpur plant, launched in 2017, and the Kharkhoda plant, which came online in 2025, the company said in its release.

By advancing concurrent development across engineering and manufacturing, deepening digital engineering and expanding modularisation, Suzuki said it aims to deliver "Just-Right" products to customers faster. The company will also optimise product development and mass production for each market by drawing on technologies developed in Japan.

What is Suzuki's multi-pathway approach?

Suzuki said it will further accelerate its multi-pathway approach to address varying energy circumstances and infrastructure environments across local markets. This is aimed at responding flexibly to rising raw material and energy costs and tightening environmental and safety regulations, while advancing what the company calls "Minimisation of Energy."

As per the statement, Suzuki introduced "Minimisation of Energy" as its core technological philosophy in 2024, and added "Maximisation of Essential Value" in 2025, terming the technologies built around this combined vision "Right x Light Mobile Tech." In 2026, the company said it will deepen this direction by accelerating transformation across development and production.

As per the press release, Suzuki's third biogas plant in India began operations in August 2026. The plant uses biogas derived from cow dung as fuel and returns organic fertiliser as a by-product to local communities, as part of what the company describes as a sustainable local resource circulation model.

Combined with the already widespread use of CNG vehicles, Suzuki said the initiative is meant to advance community-based carbon neutrality alongside its multi-pathway approach. The business is being carried out under the Japan-India Cooperative Biogas for Growth (CBG) Initiative, agreed upon by the two governments in July 2026, as per the statement.

Technologies under the "Team Suzuki" push

The press release credited "Team Suzuki," described as a culture of cross-functional and cross-border optimisation, with achieving a significantly extended single-charge driving range in the development of its "e SKY" technology.

Going forward, Suzuki said it will bring "Right x Light Mobile Tech" into its products through a mix of technologies, including series hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), a new hybrid system under development named "Super Ene Charge," newly developed direct-injection turbo engines, the lightweight "S Light" platform and "SDV Lite," as per the company's statement.
