The price revision will apply at the ex-showroom level across the company’s India range, with the increase varying by model and variant. The maximum price hike will be capped at ₹20,000.
The price hike comes as automakers face continued pressure from higher input and operating costs, prompting companies to revisit vehicle prices even as India’s passenger vehicle market remains focused on sustaining demand. Skoda’s move adds to the broader trend of carmakers adjusting prices to offset cost pressures while competing on volumes, new launches and affordability.
The company introduced several new products, variants and feature updates in 2026, including the new Kushaq and Slavia, updates to the Kodiaq, the Kodiaq RS and Octavia RS, and new trims for the Kylaq and other models.
Skoda Auto India said it recorded its highest-ever sales in 2025, selling 72,655 cars. It also posted its highest-ever first-half sales in 2026 and had sold more than 50,000 units by August, representing growth of over 8% from the same period last year.
The company said more than 250,000 locally manufactured Skoda cars have been sold during its growth phase, including the Kylaq, Kushaq and Slavia. The Kylaq alone has crossed 75,000 units in sales.
Skoda has also expanded its retail network to more than 345 touchpoints across 193 cities.
The company began 2026 with a plan for 10 product actions and has since added new models, trims and feature updates across its portfolio.
The automaker said it remains focused on offering customers value, safety and European engineering while continuing to expand its product and ownership experience in India.
