The Japanese automaker had dispatched 9,674 vehicles in the same month last year.
Exports fell 35 per cent to 4,710 units from 7,272 units a year earlier. Domestic wholesales, on the other hand, rose almost 50 per cent to 3,600 units from 2,402 units.
“Our 50 per cent year-on-year growth in domestic wholesales in October reflects continued customer confidence in Nissan and the progress we are making in India,” said Saurabh Vatsa, managing director, Nissan India.
He added that the company is focused on its customers as the festive season nears. “As we approach Dhanteras and Diwali, we remain focused on serving customers through distinctive products and enhanced ownership experiences,” Vatsa said.
