Nissan Motor's Indian arm wrapped up calendar year 2025 on a strong note, powered by a surge in exports that highlights its growing role as a global manufacturing base for the Japanese carmaker.

The company reported consolidated sales of 15,372 units in December, driven largely by exports of 13,470 vehicles — its highest monthly export volume in more than a decade. Domestic wholesale volumes stood at 1,902 units for the month, reinforcing Nissan’s export-led strategy even as it prepares a renewed push in the Indian market.

Exports have emerged as a clear growth engine for Nissan Motor India, which crossed 1.2 million cumulative vehicle shipments from India in 2025.

The company said 2025 was a year of consolidation, while also setting the stage for a fresh product push. During the year, Nissan previewed its future line-up, revealing the design direction and names of two upcoming models — the Gravite and the Tekton.

Nissan is set to launch the all-new GRAVITE, a 7-seater B-MPV, on January 21, followed by the global reveal of the Nissan Tekton, a 5-seater C-SUV, on February 4. A 7-seater C-SUV is planned for 2027, giving Nissan a broader presence in some of India’s fastest-growing segments. All upcoming models will be made in India, with select vehicles also earmarked for exports.

To support its expanding portfolio, Nissan is also scaling up its dealer and service footprint. The company plans to grow its network to 250 showrooms by the end of FY2027, with new 3S facilities already added in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.

As Nissan steps into 2026, it is betting that a sharper product line-up, export strength and deeper retail reach will help translate strategic momentum into sustained growth in one of the world’s most competitive auto markets.
