New Maybach S-Class to come with 4.0-litre twin-turbo with EQ-Boost mild-hybrid tech

New Maybach soon
According to a report by TOI, Mercedes-Benz on Thursday unveiled the all-new Maybach S-Class. The super-luxury limousine is expected to arrive in India only in 2022 and will replace the current Maybach 560 and 650 in the portfolio. The 2021 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is expected to cost somewhere around Rs 1.50 crore (approx.). The current 2019 Maybach S 560 Maestro in the Indian portfolio starts at Rs 2.10 crore (ex-showroom). The limousine is specifically targeted at buyers with a chauffeur.

Mild-hybrid tech
The 2021 Maybach S-Class is discarding the V12 engine and it now comes with just one 4.0-litre twin-turbo with EQ-Boost mild-hybrid technology. The engine produces 502 PS of power and 699 Nm of torque while the electric motor offers an additional 21 PS of power and 249 Nm of torque. The rear-axle steering makes the limousine quite maneuverable in urban traffic.

Peak comfort
The new upgrades in the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class are mainly focused at the rear area of the limousine. The new Executive seats will now boast a massage function in the calfrests. Additionally, the First-Class rear has been upgraded too with the neck and shoulder heating feature being the newest comfort feature.

The enhanced interior design also includes improved front seats and high-quality wood surrounds encase the rear of the front seat backrests giving an impression of generous lounge seats.
