M&M aims to roll out high-powered tractors in US

MUMBAI: M&M is looking to introduce more powerful tractors in the US, as the company aims to build on the robust growth story in that market, M&M’s ED & president-automotive & farm equipment sectors Pawan Goenka said on Thursday.

“Our tractor sales have increased almost 45% in Mahindra USA against industry average of about 15%,” Goenka said at a press conference. “Now, we are playing in the 0-80-hp range and we are looking at introducing the 100-120-hp range of tractors.

Those are not designed here but are designed outside India and will be coming in from different OEMS, custom designed for Mahindra USA but not by M&M. Mahindra USA will be marketing those products ,” he said.

He added that the US has much wider scope for the farm equipment vehicles unlike India.
