NEW DELHI: MG Motor India Wednesday said the company wants to democratise electric vehicle technology in India.

Parent SAIC has invested $3.2 billion in new energy vehicles in the last few years. The company has globally unveiled 20 electrified vehicles including plug-in hybrids, pure electrics, in 10 years.

MG Motor India said it wants to offer more choice to Indian consumers in the electrified vehicle segment.


The company displayed several products including a three-door micro electric car, multipurpose vehicles, a premium hatch from its global portfolio.

Rajeev Chaba, President, MG Motor India, said, “We have all the capability to bring some of these models to India.”
