The unveiling on Saturday was led by Ferrari chief executive Benedetto Vigna and chief marketing and commercial officer Enrico Galliera, marking a significant moment for the Italian carmaker's presence in one of its fastest-growing markets.
The 849 Testarossa replaces the SF90 Stradale at the top of Ferrari's range, positioned as a plug-in hybrid super sports berlinetta. It features a reengineered mid-rear twin-turbo V8 engine paired with three electric motors, delivering a combined output of 1,050 CV. The powertrain allows the vehicle to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in under 2.3 seconds and reach 200 km/h in 6.35 seconds.

The model incorporates aerodynamic solutions including a twin-tail rear design and an active rear spoiler, alongside the latest generation of electronic controls featuring the FIVE vehicle dynamics estimator.
Speaking at the event, Vigna highlighted India's growing importance to the brand. "India is a country that offers a lot of opportunities. It is a young country with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and that energy resonates deeply with Ferrari's own philosophy of innovation and passion," he said.
Ferrari currently supports its Indian operations through a retail network in Mumbai and New Delhi, complemented by a dedicated service point in Bengaluru, providing local clients with access to vehicle sales and technical expertise.
