Maruti, Hero MotoCorp unveil Apps in sync with Aarogya Setu to monitor staff health
At Maruti Suzuki, more than 34,000 employees have started using the Wellness Mitra App, which helps maintain the health log sheet of personnel across all company locations in India.
At Maruti Suzuki, more than 34,000 employees have started using the Wellness Mitra App, which helps maintain the health log sheet of personnel across all company locations in India. “It also allows them to seek help in case of any emergency,” Rajesh Uppal, member, executive board (HR, IT and safety), Maruti Suzuki, told ET. “The Covid-19 Task Force at Maruti Suzuki ensures that all health and safety advisories are followed by employees.”
Quick links to download Aarogya Setu App, mandatory for contact traceability, are embedded in Wellness Mitra. Government guidelines are also broadcast.

Meanwhile, Hero MotoCorp has directed employees to mandatorily declare good health through the Hero Employee App prior to resuming work. Additionally, a new App – Hero HOPE – has been developed. HOPE, which stands for Hero’s Operation for Pandemic Elimination, helps in increasing the contact traceability of users.
Ravindra Kumar GP, CHRO, Tata Motors, said, “We launched a health portal where in employees check in and declare their health status and that of their family. We have also launched an employee assistance programme.”
